The ministry of Grace Biblical Counseling (GBC) exist:

• To provide a public outreach for Shawnee Bible Church to the unchurched in our community by providing biblically based counseling.
• To promote biblical counseling in other local churches by offering training programs for pastors and key lay people in the area of biblical counseling.
• To assist local pastors, elders, deacons, and others in pursuing certification with the National Association of Biblical Counselors for the purpose of establishing a standard of excellence in the local churches.
• To challenge all of God’s people to return to the Bible for answers to life’s challenges and forsake competing belief systems such as popular psychology and so-called “Christian Counseling” and promote the return of the practice of “soul-care” back to the local church.

GBC provides biblical counseling services to those seeking God’s answers to the questions and problems of life. We believe that Scripture is the inspired and infallible word of God and is therefore authoritative and useful in all issues of life. We offer free biblical counseling sessions to those in need. We also offer training to individuals and churches who desire to learn more about biblical counseling.

All of GBC’s counselors either are already ACBC or IABC certified or in the process of achieving certification. Counseling sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis for one hour each week. Occasionally, due to high demand for biblical counseling, we find that all of our counselors are completely booked and we have to place potential counselees on a waiting list.
